At the Versailles castle I found many favorite items to photograph.

Crystal, metal, gold, and beautiful background surroundings made these candelabras, lamps & chandeliers photos some of my favorite

In 2010 i was exhibiting at Salon Versailles and visited the Versailles castle

This is a small peek into the treasures of the castle

Louis the XIV was also known as Louis the great or the Sun King

At the gates of Versailles I caught the sun with my lens

And then Louis caught the sun under his arm as he was welcoming me to his castle

This is a beautiful statue with a beautiful patina

Versailles castle contains indescribable treasures

The doors of Versailles castle is detailed beyond my imagination

They were gilded and restored by the best craftsmen of France through decades

This is craftsmanship

This is serious ornamentation!

When walking around in the castle I had to stop for every meter to take pictures of doors and details

It's breathtaking....right?

 Indescribable

It goes on like this room by room - floor by floor - building by building ....

It's overwhelming and beyond comprehension

To be continued.......

Tirsbæk castle

100 year old wallpaper in need of revival

Beautiful design

New design stencils are cut

New minimalist design - is made from old design

Colors fade in after the new furniture upholstery

After measuring the room the metallic paint is applied and the stenciling begins

1. base color - light green

2. base color. Measurement is important

A happy decorative painter - loving my job

3. & 4. base color is applied - a lot of work!

Magic unfolds

My favorite colors - matte Pure Color from Jotun - on top of the metallic paint

The best contrast and so easy to work with

Finally the 5. & 6. colors is applied to complete the design

Every single flower is slightly different from the others..... unique and beautiful

The final design

Before

After

Always with the deepest respect for the craftsmanship and the old masters

in this case I have added a more minimalist and modern look that matches the new family
